It is one of the most common and easiest raita made in Indian houses as an accompaniment for biriyanies, pulao etc. I don't think, it need a description. It is very popular in Kerala. Very easy to prepare, just chop some onions, tomatoes and green chilies, mix with curd and salt. If like, you can add some roasted cumin powder also.
Step by step preparation of tomato onion raita
- Take chopped onion, tomato, coriander leaves and green chilies in a bowl. Chop them as thinly as you can.
- Add curd (beat with a hand whisk or fork before use)
- Mix well.
- Garnish with cumin or chili powder.
- We can incorporate some chopped carrots and cucumber also.
