Pink lemonade is an instant drink, which you need to finish immediately. If you want to refrigerate, please do put lemon juice instead of using whole lemon. Otherwise, it will lose its taste and will turn bitter as some components of lemon when reacts with air forms a bitter compound called limonin. You may experience the same problem while making musambi juice. If you want the lemonade chilled, do incorporate some ice cube, (I don't recommend to use these days, due to the spreading epidemic disease).
So reader, please obey the rules, stay safe, and boost your immune system with a healthy diet and exercises. Prevention is better than cure.

Preparing lemon
As I already told, lemonade is a lemon flavored drink , so we have to take one medium sized fresh lemon. As I said in the intro section, using the whole lemon will leave a bitter taste to the juice.
- So peel off the skin very carefully with a sharp knife. First, make a slit on the top and then remove the skin very gently. We need the inner portion only.
- Cut into two halves and remove the seeds also. Both these two steps will help you to reduce the bitterness considerably.
Making the lemonade
- Put the prepared lemon in the juicer jar of your mixer grinder. Also add washed and cleaned purple grapes. The amount of grapes used depends the color and taste you are looking for. The grape variety I used here is the seedless, sweet grapes and it gives a beautiful pink color to my lemonade. You can use any fruit of your choice (ex: blueberries ).
- Then put a few mint leaves, mint leaves give a refreshing flavor to the lemonade and also helps in digestion. Add sugar. I have used 3.5 tablespoons of sugar to get the taste balanced. The amount of sugar to be used depends on the sourness of both lemon and grapes.
- Pour 1/2 cup of water and grind till everything blend nicely.
- Once the lemon, grapes and mint leaves, grind fully, you can pour remaining one and half cups of water and just blend for a minute.
- Strain through a tea strainer into the glass in which you want to serve.
- Refreshing pink lemonade is ready now, Enjoy.
Happy cooking
