Last day, we made a post on green gram sprout, in which three methods of sprout making with green gram have been explained. In that post, I mentioned that eating raw sprout is healthier than the cooked ones as they lost their nutrients considerably when heated up. But you know, eating raw sprout is little bit difficult and not that tasty especially for beginners. So I will suggest you to incorporate the sprouts with some other vegetables or fruits and make simple and healthy salads in your way.



    Today, my post is on green gram mango salad, one of the most favorite sprout salad of my kids. The sweetness of ripe mango and sourness of lemon elevates the taste of sprout and make it appealing to them. To make it more healthy, I have incorporated some green leafy vegetables and pomegranate. The bright red colour of pomegranate, not only makes it attractive, but also increases its nutrient benefit considerably.

    It is a very simple salad and if you have the sprouts ready, then you can make it in a jiffy. I am making salads frequently in my home, but unfortunately, this the first salad recipe in my blog. Hope everyone will love this. Let us see the ingredients and method of this lovely nutrient rich salad.

    Ingredients


    • 1 cup green gram sprout
    • 1 cup mango, peeled and cut into squares
    • 1/2 cup pomegranate
    • 1/2  lemon
    • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
    • Salt to taste

    Preparation of sprout mango salad with step by step photos


    1. To make sprout mango salad, you need to make sprout, If you have any doubts, then you can check my previous post on green gram sprout in three different ways. Take 1 cup of green gram sprout in a bowl, in which you are planning to make the salad.
    2. Put well ripe sweet mango, chopped into small squares. This will give a nice sweetness to our salad.
    3. Then put the bright red pomegranate arils, chopped lettuce leaves, pepper powder and salt to your taste. 
    4. Squeeze 1/2 lemon after removing seeds to add a beautiful acidity to our salad. 
    5. Give a nice mix and adjust, salt, lemon juice and pepper to your taste. 
    6. Then serve and enjoy.
