A coffee milkshake is a thick, cold drink with a strong coffee flavor. If you are a coffee lover, like me, you'll love this milkshake. Now we'll speak about how to prepare a delectable coffee milkshake at home.

    Coffee milkshake - About

A coffee milkshake is a milky beverage with a strong coffee flavor. A coffee milkshake is so simple to make that all you need is a mixer grinder to combine all of the ingredients. Adding one or two scoops of vanilla ice cream not only make it richer and creamier, but also significantly improves the coffee flavor.

During my college years, milkshake was always our first choice. My friends and I used to go to a nearby shake parlor almost every weakened. That was the first time, we tried different milkshake flavors. Later, we began recreating those flavors one by one. All of the milkshakes I share here are a reenactment of that day's wonderful recollections.

Coffee milkshake recipe is also inspired by my fond memories of college days. That coffee milkshake was extremely thick and creamy, with small bits of nuts, and it was topped with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and chocolate chips and was served with a spoon and a straw. This means you can drink the smoothies cold with a spoon or slowly with a straw. But I'm not going to make a really thick milkshake; instead, this shake will be somewhat thick and easy to consume with a straw.

    Coffee milkshake - Professional Tips

    1. The sort of milk you use determines how rich a coffee milkshake is. Full-fat milk, semi-skimmed milk, almond milk or any other milk will suit. Full cream milk, on the other hand, can be used to make a rich and thick milkshake.
    2. When it comes to the color of a coffee milkshake, the coffee powder plays the most important role. Coffee milkshake, like ordinary coffee, will have a darker hue and stronger aroma as the amount of coffee powder used increases, and vise versa.
    3. When making a coffee milkshake, I prefer to use vanilla ice cream since I believe the vanilla taste enhances the coffee flavor significantly. However, you can experiment with other flavors such as chocolate, butterscotch and so on. If you don't have any ice cream on hand, blend with coco powder and a teaspoon of vanilla essence.
    4. I didn't add any additional sugar to my milkshake because I think the sweetness of vanilla ice cream is adequate. If you have a sweet carving, you can definitely add sugar, but don't add too much ice cream because it will mask the coffee flavor.
    5. Finally, we shall talk about consistency. A milkshake consistency is determined by how cold the milk is.  If you want a thick milkshake, use frozen milk; if you want a thin milkshake with lovely froth on top, use cooled milk with ice cubes.
Finally, please take a look at our coffee-based beverages, such as South Indian filter coffee, dalgona coffee, mocha milkshake and so on.

    Coffee flavored milkshake

Preparation time: 5 minutes | Cooking time: 0 minutes | Total time: 5 minutes

    Ingredients

    • 200 ml chilled milk
    • 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream or any flavor ice cream of your choice
    • 1 tablespoon instant coffee powder (I used Nescafe gold)
    • 4 to 5 ice cubes
    •  ice cream, chocolate syrup  and Chocolate chips for garnish (optional)

Coffee Milkshake Preparation With Step By Step Photos

    1. Pour the cold milk and ice cubes into a blender jar. You can use frozen milk if you want a thicker smoothie.

    2. Add the vanilla ice cream and instant coffee powder to the milk immediately. I used Nescafe gold instant coffee powder for today's recipe because I like the flavor. I always choose moderate coffee since I really don't like the harshness of strong coffee. You can use any brand of coffee powder you have on hand and alter the amount of coffee powder to your preference.

    3. Blend until everything is well combined after closing the mixer jar.

    4. Pour the milkshake into a glass and top with vanilla ice cream scoop, chocolate syrup, and chocolate chips, if desired.

    5. Enjoy.

    Happy cooking
