Sandwiches and toast are generally recognized as the simplest and easiest dishes. We can make them in a couple of minutes because the majority of them are quick and simple. The mushroom cheese toast is a traditional British dish that is made by toasting slices of bread with a cheese and mushroom topping. This recipe is so easy to make that even our kids can make it. Let's see today the preparation of  mushroom cheese toast.

    What is Mushroom cheese toast?

Mushrooms on toast is a tasty, easy, and quick vegetarian recipe. It can be made quickly and served with hot coffee or milk as a quick breakfast, after-school snack, or late-night snack.

Bread slices topped with cheese, herbs, and sautéed garlic mushrooms make up this classic British breakfast meal called as mushroom cheese toast.

There are many different types of toast with mushroom cheese. By blending different breads, mushrooms, and seasonings, you may create a new flavor each time. The same recipe can also be used to make sandwiches in a toaster or sandwich maker. I'm sure your family will like this toast because it's so simple and delicious.

If you're searching for similar recipes, be sure to look at:

    1.  As previously said, a mushroom cheese toast is an easy recipe that consists of bread pieces covered with cheese and sautéed mushrooms. Any sort of bread, including white, sandwich, brown, multigrain, and other varieties, can be utilized. The texture of milk breads and sweet breads is often quite delicate, and they typically contain added sugar. These two choices will naturally make our toast sweeter, which is something that need to be avoided in a quality sandwich.
    2. Since button mushrooms are readily accessible in my local store, I usually use them for mushroom cheese toast. You can utilize any type that is available. The only thing you need to make sure is that the mushrooms are properly stored and are within their expiration date before utilizing them.
    3. Here, I added additional garlic and onion to the filling to give it more flavor and taste while making it entirely vegan. Some of you, though, can skip eating onion and garlic if you don't like them. Do not forget to sauté the mushrooms in butter if you are skipping these two ingredients.
    4. Although I've provided an oven method in this post, the same toast can also be done on a stovetop. If using the stovetop approach, toast the bread slices in butter or a small amount of oil and cover the pan with a lid to ensure that the cheese is properly melted while preventing the bread slices from being burned.

    1. 200 grams of button mushrooms were used to produce the mushroom cheese toast. Before using, the mushroom should be soaked in salted water for at least twenty minutes to clear any worms that may be present.

    2. When giving it a good wash with fresh water, gently rub the surface with your hands to get rid of any dirt or debris that may have stuck to it. Cut into small pieces after that, and set aside.

    3. Over medium heat, heat one small pan. Pour one tablespoon of olive oil into the pan once it has heated up. If you'd like, you can substitute butter.

    4. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic and sauté it until it becomes fragrant.

    5. Add onion and continue to cook until transparent.

    6. At this point, put the mushrooms. Season with some salt and pepper.

    7. Mix thoroughly, then cook for two minutes with the lid on a medium temperature, or until the mushrooms begin to drip water.

    8. Open the lid. Allow it to simmer until the stock has completely evaporated and attain a wonderful, glossy, moist texture. Set aside and allow to fully cool.

    9. After the sautéed mushrooms have cooled to room temperature, we can start preparing the toast. Depending on the size of the bread you use, you may need four to five slices. Evenly spread one or two tablespoons of the sautéed mushroom on the bread slices.

    10. Add dried parsley leaves and chilly flakes on the top. If you don't have chilly flakes in your cupboard, sauté the mushrooms with one or two green chilies instead.

    11. Put a lot of shredded mozzarella cheese on the top.

    12. Place the prepared bread pieces on a baking sheet and toast them in the OTG oven for 6 minutes at 180° C.

    13. Remove it from the oven and serve it hot once the cheese has completely melted and the bread is well-toasted.

    14. Enjoy.

    Happy cooking
