American Hot Cocoa Recipe With Step By Step Photos.

Rich and creamy hot beverages like American hot cocoa are ideal throughout this wet season. When we wish to consume a hot, sweet beverage, it is quite comfortable. Don't confuse it with hot chocolate; hot cocoa is quicker, tastier, and much easier to prepare. Today, let's make this tasty beverage with only a few simple ingredients.

About This American Hot Cocoa Recipe

American hot chocolate is without a doubt a fantastic hot beverage that is thick, creamy, and delicious. Due to the use of full-cream milk and cocoa powder, it has an unusually smooth taste and a deep, chocolatey flavor. Without a dash of cinnamon powder and some lovely vanilla aroma, this beverage would be dull, tasteless, and colorless. When it's cold and rainy outside and we want something sweet but don't want to make a mess, this wonderful beverage is a treat.

It only takes a few minutes to make hot cocoa. When the milk is warm, it is combined with the sugars and cocoa powder. Once it has reached a light, thick consistency, cinnamon powder and vanilla extract are added. When serving this delectable beverage in a glass, marshmallows and whipped cream are used as decorations.

Difference between hot chocolate and hot cocoa

Hot chocolate should never be confused with hot cocoa. A hot cocoa is one made with cocoa powder, the same kind we purchase in tins from supermarkets. However, the chocolate flavor of a hot chocolate is achieved using chocolate chunks. In contrast to hot cocoa, it will have a much creamier and smoother texture. Because cocoa powder is a key component in making hot cocoa, the beverage will not be as thick as hot chocolate.

    Hot Cocoa - Pro tips

    1. The type of milk you use will affect how creamy your hot cocoa will be. You can use any type of milk you like, including whole milk, coconut milk, almond milk, and ordinary milk. All have great flavours, but if you prefer your hot cocoa extra creamy, add full-fat milk or coconut milk.
    2. You can customize the level of sweetness and bitterness to suit your preferences by varying the amount of sweetener and cocoa powder used.
    3. To achieve perfectly smooth hot chocolate, it is usually advised to blend the cocoa powder and warm milk in a separate bowl. It will be challenging to combine if you put it straight into the milk.

Preparation of hot cocoa with step by step photos

    1. I used one cup of full-cream milk to make American hot cocoa. If you're a vegan, you can use coconut milk or almond milk, but you can use any kind of milk you like. The type of milk we choose affects the consistency and richness of hot chocolate. Amul brand milk is what I'm using now because it got the best outcomes for me. In a sauce pan, pour milk. Allow the milk to simmer or warm up over medium heat. Never leave the flame on high because doing so will cause the milk to burn at the bottom and give our hot chocolate a terrible smoky flavor.

    2. Take three tablespoons of milk and place them in a small bowl once it has warmed up and steam has begun to appear.

    3. Add 1.5 teaspoons of Hersey's semi-sweet cocoa powder to this milk.

    4. Then, using a wire whisk or fork, mix until a very smooth consistency is achieved.

    5. In the sauce pan, pour this chocolate milk.

    6. Add sugar to taste and cook over medium heat, constantly stirring and scraping the sides, until it boils.

    7. Turn off the heat once the milk has begun to boil and stir in a little amount of cinnamon powder.

    8. For a lovely scent, add one tablespoon of vanilla essence. Mix well.

    9. Pour this in the serving cups and garnish with marshmallows or whipped cream.

    10. Sprinkle with cocoa powder before serving.

    11. Enjoy.

    Happy cooking
